This is a review wonderfully written by my friend… Thanks a lot buddy.
Here it is…
Being a North Indian i always feel a bit alien to the food we get in Pune, though I have started liking "wada pav and dabeli"... i still miss authentic north Indian food. Generally the curries here are a bit sweet, which is a problem for any person hailing from north. And this very reason makes me try and explore more places where we get good food, not very heavy on pocket and something which I can enjoy.......

Not very long back I visited this place called "Charcoal Pit" at M.G. Road (near Marzorin), which is a roof top restaurant. This is a family restaurant which is not a very flashy place but definitely brings peace away from the crowd.

The manager of the restaurant is a sardarjee which gives it all the more credence for serving good north Indian food. First place in Pune where I could actually smell "Dal Makahani" :) and Butter Chicken which I couldn't forget for long….

The place has an open kitchen where you can see the food made fresh and have your taste buds ready even before the food comes. The place in spite of being in the core of the city takes you away form the noise; only problem being that it gets being crowded after 8, and specially on weekends so you better reach early or you might end up waiting if you are late………but trust me the wait is worth the food. The icing on the cake is the decent price range and good service….

The dinner for two will cost not more than Rs. 400 for a non vegetarian meal (including starters). May not be place to take your date on for a special dinner but definitely something which you should not miss….
