One of the best places one can have Chicken Biryani in Pune is at George. It’s a very famous restaurant off MG Road, at the end of East Street.. and its been here for a long time now (since 1936!!).. It’s famous for a lot of delicacies but I am a huge fan of their Chicken Tikka Biryani. I think they serve it like no one else in Pune.
This is how it is.. Nice big chunks of Chicken Tikka – covered with an exceptional tandoori masala.. and perfectly roasted so that they have a perfect balance of juiciness and crispiness..
A large serving(good enough for one) and quick service makes it even better.. priced at Rs. 85, you can’t get a better deal…
The place has a stuffy interior and is often crowded in evenings and on weekends. But this should not matter much if good food is the motive.
To top it, one can have a bowl of Caramel Custard, priced at Rs. 25.. and it’s a real treat.
Also try out the Rotisserie Chicken.. its considered to be among the best tandoori chickens in Pune.
